An Image QR code shows pictures you upload to GetQR. Upload one image to open it directly, or up to 10 images to show them as a gallery.

Before you start

  • Have your images ready. Each image can be up to 5 MB.
  • PNG, JPG, GIF and WEBP work. iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPG automatically when you upload them.

Create it

Click Create QR in the sidebar.

In Choose QR type, click Image.

Settings

What people see when they scan

  • One image. The image opens directly in the phone’s browser.
  • Two or more images. A gallery page opens with your title, the number of images and your chosen layout. People tap an image to see the full view and move to the previous or next image. They can Download one image or Download all.
Scans go through a GetQR short link, so they’re counted in analytics, and you can replace the images later without reprinting the code.

Use cases

  • Product photos or a lookbook on a shop window or catalog.
  • Event and wedding photos shared on a table card.
  • A portfolio on a business card or flyer.
  • Before/after photos at a salon or clinic.
  • Floor plans or maps at a venue.

Common issues

One of your images is over 5 MB. Resize or compress it, then upload it again. Oversized files are skipped and listed under the upload area.
Only image files are accepted. Save the file as PNG, JPG, GIF or WEBP first.
The file may be damaged or in a format the browser can’t open. Try a PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP or HEIC file.
You can add up to 10 images. Remove some, or split them across two QR codes.
Check your internet connection. If you use an ad blocker, antivirus or VPN, allow getqr.com and try again.
