What people see when they scan

The phone opens your event page, a mobile page hosted by GetQR. It shows your cover image and logo, the event type and name, the date and time, your social icons, your notes, the address, the organizer and the Good to know list. People can:
  • Tap Calendar to download the event as a calendar file (.ics) with its name, time, address, notes and a link to the page.
  • Tap Directions to open the address in Google Maps.
  • Tap Share to send the page to someone else. If the phone can’t share, the link is copied.
  • Tap a phone number or email under the organizer to call or write.
  • Tap the ticket button at the bottom of the screen to open your ticket or RSVP page.
The calendar file uses the time zone of the browser you created the QR code in, so the event lands at the right time in every guest’s calendar. Because the code points to a page, you can change the details after printing and everyone sees the new version. Every scan is counted in analytics.

Use cases

  • Print it on invitations for weddings, birthdays and parties.
  • Put it on posters and flyers for concerts, festivals and markets.
  • Add it to conference badges, programs and signs with the venue and schedule.
  • Link workshops, meetups and classes to their ticket or RSVP page.

Common issues

Type a name for your event in Event name.
Pick both a start and an end under Date & time.
End is the same as or earlier than Start. Pick a later end time, or a later day for events that end after midnight.
Fill in City and Country under Address. With Maps link, this message means the link or place you picked has no city or country. Try another link, or switch to Manual and type the address.
The ticket Link isn’t a valid web address. Paste the full address of your ticket or RSVP page, for example https://tickets.example.com.
Check the organizer Email for typos, for example a missing @ or domain.
Address fields and phone numbers accept up to 40 characters. Shorten the value.
You added the same platform twice. Remove the extra one.
Your cover image or logo is too large. Resize or compress it, then upload it again.
The calendar starts at today, and End can’t be on a day before Start. Event pages are for upcoming events.
