A Payment QR code opens your payment page at PayPal, Stripe, Cash App or another provider. GetQR only sends people to your link: the payment itself happens on your provider’s page.

Before you start

  • Create a payment link with your provider, for example a PayPal.Me link or a Stripe payment link.
  • Copy the full link.
GetQR doesn’t process payments or see your transactions. Refunds, payouts and disputes are handled in your provider’s account.

Create it

1

Open the QR code builder

Click Create QR in the sidebar.
2

Choose Payment

In Choose QR type, click Payment. The builder moves to Create content.
3

Select your provider

Open Payment provider and pick the service you use. If yours isn’t listed, pick Other.
4

Add your payment link

Paste your link in Payment link. The placeholder shows what a link from your provider looks like.
5

Pre-fill an amount (PayPal only, optional)

If you chose PayPal, type a value in Amount (optional) and pick a Currency.
6

Name your QR code (optional)

Type a name in Name your QR Code to find the code later. Only you see it.
7

Style your code in Customize & Download, then click Create QR.

What people see when they scan

There is no GetQR page in between. The phone opens your payment link, so people see your provider’s checkout or payment page. With a PayPal amount, PayPal opens with that amount filled in. The payer can still change it before paying. Because the code points to a GetQR short link, you can switch to a new payment link later without reprinting. Every scan is counted in your statistics.

Use cases

  • Accept tips and donations at events, in cafés or on stage.
  • Let customers pay invoices or deposits from a printed bill.
  • Sell at markets and pop-up stores without a card terminal.
  • Collect a fixed fee, such as an entry ticket, with a pre-filled PayPal amount.

Common issues

Pick an option in Payment provider. If your provider isn’t listed, pick Other.
Payment link is empty. Paste the link to your payment page.
Amount (optional) and Currency only appear when Payment provider is PayPal. For other providers, set the amount when you create the payment link in your provider’s account.
Use digits only, with up to two decimals, for example 10 or 10.50. The amount must be greater than 0.
Pre-filled amounts only work with PayPal.Me links, such as https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/yourname. Other PayPal links open without an amount.
GetQR doesn’t handle payments. Contact your payment provider. For questions about your GetQR subscription, see the Help Center.
