Settings

Enter a location or address accepts:
  • A search: type an address, business or landmark and pick a suggestion. Typing alone isn’t enough: you must select a result.
  • A Google Maps link: paste a link starting with https://maps.app.goo.gl, https://goo.gl/maps, https://maps.google.com or https://www.google.com/maps. GetQR reads the place from it.
  • Coordinates: type latitude and longitude separated by a comma, for example 40.7484, -73.9857. Latitude must be between -90 and 90, longitude between -180 and 180.

What people see when they scan

There is no landing page. The phone opens the place in Google Maps: the app if it’s installed, otherwise the Google Maps website. From there, people can get directions. The code goes through a GetQR short link, so you can move it to a new address later without reprinting. Every scan is counted in your statistics.

Use cases

  • Show your store or restaurant location on flyers and posters.
  • Guide guests to an event venue, a wedding or a meeting point.
  • Point visitors to a specific entrance, parking lot or pick-up spot with coordinates.
  • Add directions to real estate signs and open-house materials.

Common issues

You typed text but didn’t pick a suggestion. Click one of the results in the list, paste a Google Maps link, or enter coordinates.
The search didn’t match a place. Try the full address, add the city or country, or paste a link from Google Maps.
Use two numbers separated by a comma, latitude first, for example 48.8584, 2.2945. Latitude must be between -90 and 90, longitude between -180 and 180.
Shorten the text. Paste a short Google Maps share link, such as one from maps.app.goo.gl, instead of a long URL.
Edit the QR code and pick a more precise result, or paste the Google Maps link of the exact pin. For an entrance or a spot without an address, use coordinates.
