A scheduled report emails you the scan statistics of your QR codes automatically, so you don’t need to open the dashboard. Choose daily, weekly or monthly, pick the QR codes to include and optionally attach a PDF copy.

Before you start

  • You need the Admin or Editor role. Viewers can’t create scheduled reports. See Roles and permissions.
  • Reports are sent only to your own account email. Each member who wants a report creates their own.

Create a scheduled report

1

Open the report form

Click Scheduled Reports in the sidebar, then click New report. If you have no reports yet, click Create your first report. You can also click Schedule report at the top of the Statistics page.
2

Name the report (optional)

Enter a Report name, up to 40 characters. If you leave it empty, the report is named after its QR codes, for example All QR codes.
3

Choose a frequency

Under Frequency, select Daily, Weekly or Monthly, then click Continue.
4

Choose the QR codes

Under Report scope, select All QR codes or Selected QR codes.
5

Pick specific codes (Selected QR codes only)

In the list, check each QR code to include, then click Continue.
6

Attach a PDF (optional)

Turn on Attach a PDF copy to receive a formatted PDF of the report with each email.
7

Schedule it

Click Schedule report. A message confirms the date of the first report.

Settings

Every email includes, for each QR code: QR name, QR type, Top scan geo, Top device, Top OS, Top browser, Unique scans and Total scans.
Reports use the time zone and language of your browser at the moment you create the report. Dates and numbers in the email follow those settings, and each period starts and ends at midnight in that time zone.

One report per QR code per frequency

Each QR code can be in only one of your reports of each frequency. For example, a code can be in one daily, one weekly and one monthly report, but not in two weekly reports.
  • If an All QR codes report already exists for a frequency, that frequency shows Already scheduled and you can’t pick it.
  • If any report already exists for a frequency, All QR codes isn’t available for that frequency.
  • QR codes that already have a report of the chosen frequency are greyed out in the list.
A paused report still counts. To free up a QR code, edit the existing report or delete it.

Manage your reports

The Scheduled Reports page lists your reports with their Frequency, Next send date and Status. Open a report’s menu to:

Use cases

  • Send yourself a Weekly report of all QR codes to follow a campaign without logging in.
  • Track one high-value code, such as a menu or a product label, with a Daily report.
  • Forward the monthly PDF to a client or manager who doesn’t have a GetQR account.

Common issues

Check that the report’s status is Active and look at its Next send date. Check your spam folder and make sure your account email is correct in My Account. Reports are sent to your account email only.
This is expected. If the QR codes in a report had no scans in the period, you still get an email saying so.
One of the QR codes is already in another report with the same frequency, even if that report is paused. Edit or delete that report first, or choose a different frequency.
You already have an All QR codes report with that frequency, or your reports of that frequency already cover every QR code. Edit or delete the existing report.
Viewers can’t create scheduled reports. Ask your workspace Admin to change your role to Editor.
No. Reports go only to the account email of the person who created them. Each member can create their own reports, or you can forward the email or PDF.
A report covers a fixed period (yesterday, last week or last month) in the time zone saved with the report. Set the same dates on the Statistics page to compare.
