What you can do

This page lists everything you can ask your assistant to do in GetQR. The assistant picks the right tool for you; tool names are listed only for reference.

Before you start

Connect an assistant: Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.
The assistant has the same permissions as your role. Member management is available to the workspace Admin only.

QR codes

What you can ask	Details	Tool
List or search your QR codes	Up to 50 per page. Filter to active or paused codes.	`list_qrs`
Show details of one QR code	Destination, short link, scans, design, password and schedule settings.	`get_qr`
Create a Website QR code	Destination URL, optional title, custom short link, custom domain, template or design. You can also set a password, an activation date, a pause date and a scan limit.	`create_qr`
Change a QR code	Title, destination URL, design, template, password, activation date, pause date or scan limit.	`update_qr`
Pause or resume a QR code	Paused codes stay in My QR Codes and show as Paused.	`set_qr_status`
Check if a custom short link is free	3–15 characters: lowercase letters, digits, hyphens and underscores. Can’t start or end with, or repeat, a hyphen or underscore.	`check_link_availability`
Download a QR code	JPG, PNG, SVG, PDF (A4) or EPS. JPG, PNG and EPS at 1024, 2048 or 4096 px. Branded designs and AI designs download as JPG or PNG at 1024 px, or PDF. The link works for 1 hour.	`download_qr`

A short link can’t be changed after the QR code is created. Changing the destination URL of a printed QR code changes where every printed copy points.

Design

Style a QR code	Pass the design when you create or change a QR code.	`create_qr`, `update_qr`

Not available through the assistant: uploaded logos, Convert logo to QR, Branded designs and AI designs. Use the QR code builder for these.

Analytics

Get scan statistics	For the whole workspace or one QR code. Totals, scans over time, and breakdowns by country, city, device, browser, OS and more. Periods: last 24 hours, 7, 30 or 90 days, 1 year, month, quarter or year to date, all time, or custom dates.	`get_analytics`
Export scan data	CSV or XLSX, one row per scan: QR name, QR type, scan date (UTC), country, city, continent, device, OS, browser and destination URL. Default period: 30 days. The link works for 1 hour.	`export_analytics`

Templates

Save a design as a template	Name up to 40 characters. Design only.	`create_template`
Apply a template	When you create or change a QR code.	`create_qr`, `update_qr`

Scheduled reports

List scheduled reports	Name, frequency, scope, status and next run.	`list_scheduled_reports`
Create a scheduled report	Daily, weekly or monthly. For all QR codes, selected codes or one code. Optional PDF. Name up to 40 characters.	`create_scheduled_report`
Change, pause or resume a report	Any setting, or the status.	`update_scheduled_report`
Delete a report		`delete_scheduled_report`

Bulk create

What you can ask	Details	Tool
Create Website QR codes in bulk	Up to 100 codes from a list of names and URLs, with one template or design for all. Only one bulk run at a time.	`create_bulk_qr_creation`
Check progress and download	Status and percent. When finished, a ZIP download link that works for 1 hour.	`get_bulk_qr_creation`
Stop a bulk run		`abort_bulk_qr_creation`

Custom domains

Available when custom domains are enabled for your workspace.

List or show your domains	Hostname, status, default domain, DNS record and number of links.	`list_domains`, `get_domain`
Connect a subdomain	For example `qr.yourbrand.com`. Root domains and `www` aren’t accepted. The assistant gives you the CNAME record to add at your DNS provider.	`add_domain`
Check a domain	Checks DNS and certificate now.	`check_domain`
Retry a failed certificate	Limited to a few retries per hour.	`retry_domain`
Make a domain the default	Only a live domain. New QR codes use it by default.	`set_default_domain`

To put a QR code on your domain, the domain must be live and the QR code needs a custom short link.

Members (Admin only)

Not available

Subscription, billing and account deletion.
Creating QR types other than Website.
Deleting QR codes (you can pause them).
Changing a short link after creation.
Uploaded logos, Convert logo to QR, Branded designs and AI designs.

Common issues

The download link doesn't open

Download and export links work for 1 hour. Ask the assistant for a fresh link.

The export link shows a blank page

Large exports take time to build. Wait about a minute and open the link again. If it’s still blank after about 5 minutes, ask for the export again with a shorter period or as CSV.

The assistant can't manage members

Member tools work only for the workspace Admin. Editors get a permission error.

The custom short link is taken

Short links are checked when you ask, but not reserved. Someone may take it before the QR code is created. Pick a different one.
