# Social Media QR code

> Share all your social media profiles on one page with a single scan.

A Social Media QR code opens a mobile page with your headline and links to your social profiles. Use it when you want people to follow you on several platforms from one code.

## Before you start

* Have the links or usernames for the profiles you want to share.
* Optional: an image (for example, a photo or cover) and a logo, each up to 5 MB.

## Create it

    Click **Create QR** in the sidebar.

  <Step title="Choose Social Media">
    In **Choose QR type**, click **Social Media**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter a headline">
    Type your name or brand in **Headline**, for example "Olivia Bennett".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick your platforms">
    Under **Social media**, click the icon of each platform you want to add. A field appears for each one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your profile links">
    Paste the profile link or username into each field.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your own links (optional)">
    Click **Add your own link** to add a link that isn't in the platform list, such as your website or shop.

  <Step title="Fill in each custom link">
    Upload a logo in **Add your link logo**, then fill in **Name** and **URL**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a description, image or logo (optional)">
    Click **Add description**, **Add image** or **Add logo** to open each section.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name your QR code (optional)">
    Type a name in **Name your QR Code**. Only you see it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to the design step">
    Click **Next**.

  <Step title="Design and create">
    Customize the design (see [Design overview](/design/overview)), then click **Create QR**.

## Settings

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Headline** | Required, up to 40 characters. The main title on the page, usually your name or brand. |
| **Social media** | Add at least one platform or custom link. Each platform can be added once. Available platforms: Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Messenger, Snapchat, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Telegram, WeChat, Viber, LINE. |
| Platform link | Required for each platform you add. A profile link or username. For WhatsApp, enter the number starting with the country code, for example `15551234567`. |
| **Add your own link** | Optional custom links. Each needs a logo (image up to 5 MB), a **Name** (up to 40 characters) and a **URL**. Up to 10 is recommended. |
| **Add description** | Optional text under the headline, up to 200 characters. |
| **Add image** | Optional image for the page, up to 5 MB. You can crop, scale, flip and rotate it after upload. |
| **Add logo** | Optional logo for the page, up to 5 MB. |
| **Name your QR Code** | Optional, up to 40 characters. Only you see it. Default: **My Social Media QR Code**. |
| **Custom short link** | Optional. Lets you choose the end of the short link, 3–15 characters. You can't change it after the QR code is created. |

## What people see when they scan

A mobile page opens with your headline, description, image and logo, followed by a link for each platform and custom link you added. Tapping a link opens that profile in the app or browser.

Scans go through a GetQR short link, so they're counted in [analytics](/analytics/overview). You can add, remove or change links later and printed codes keep working.

## Use cases

* Grow followers from a shop counter, packaging or receipts.
* Put all creator or band profiles on merch and posters.
* Share a speaker's or company's profiles on a conference badge or slide.
* Promote a restaurant's Instagram and TikTok on table cards.

## Common issues

    Add at least one platform or one custom link before you continue.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="First name is required">
    **Headline** is empty. Type your name or brand.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Please enter a valid link, username, or contact info">
    The value doesn't look like a profile on that platform. Paste the full profile link from the app, for example `https://instagram.com/username`.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="WhatsApp can't open this number.">
    Enter the WhatsApp number with the country code and digits only, for example `15551234567`.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Upload a logo for this link.">
    Every custom link needs a logo. Upload an image in **Add your link logo**, or remove the custom link.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Each social platform can only be added once.">
    Remove the duplicate platform. To link a second account on the same platform, use **Add your own link**.

  <Accordion title="The Add your own link button is disabled">
    You've reached the recommended limit of 10 custom links. Remove one to add another.
  </Accordion>
