## Settings

| Setting | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Recipient email** | Required. The address that receives the emails. Must be a valid email address. GetQR saves it in lowercase. |
| **Email subject** | Optional. The subject line. People can change it. |
| **Message** | Optional. The email body, up to 10,000 characters. People can edit it before sending. |
| **Name your QR Code** | Optional. Up to 40 characters. Only you see it. If you leave it empty, GetQR uses a default name. |

## What people see when they scan

There is no landing page. The phone opens its default email app with a new email to your address, your subject and your message. Nothing is sent until the person taps send.

The code goes through a GetQR short link, so you can change the address or text after printing. Every scan is counted in your statistics.

<Tip>
  Keep the message short. A long pre-filled email is hard to read on a phone screen.
</Tip>

## Use cases

* Support requests: pre-fill the subject with a product or order reference.
* Event RSVPs and sign-ups.
* Quote or booking requests from printed flyers.
* Feedback from staff or students, sent to a shared inbox.
