## What's in the file

Each row is one scan. The file has these columns:

| Column | Content |
| - | - |
| QR name | Name of the scanned QR code |
| QR type | QR code type, such as Website or vCard |
| Date of QR scanning | Date and time of the scan, in UTC |
| Scans by country | Country of the scan |
| Scans by city | City of the scan |
| Scans by continent | Continent of the scan |
| Scans by device | Device type, such as Mobile or Desktop |
| Scans by OS | Operating system |
| Scans by browser | Browser or scanner app |

## CSV or XLSX?

| | CSV | XLSX |
| - | - | - |
| Opens in | Any spreadsheet app, BI and scripting tools | Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers |
| Large exports | Best choice | Limited to about 1 million rows (an Excel limit) |

<Note>
  In CSV files, cells that start with `=`, `+`, `-` or `@` get a leading `'`. This stops spreadsheet apps from running them as formulas.
</Note>

## Use cases

* **Campaign reports.** Filter by QR name and date range, export, and build charts in your own tool.
* **Location analysis.** Pivot scans by country or city to see where codes perform.
* **Regular reporting.** Want the data in your inbox instead? Set up [scheduled reports](/analytics/scheduled-reports).
