# Bulk create overview

> Create up to 100 Website QR codes at once from a CSV file, with one shared design, and download them as a ZIP.

Bulk create turns a CSV list of names and links into up to 100 Website QR codes in one go. Every code gets the same design, and you download them all in one ZIP file.

## Before you start

* You need the **Admin** or **Editor** role. Viewers can't create QR codes.
* You need a CSV file with the header `name,url`. See [CSV format](/bulk/csv-format).

## How it works

    Upload a CSV file. GetQR checks every row and shows the ones that need fixing.

  <Step title="Customize">
    Pick one design for the whole batch: **Custom designs**, **Branded designs**, **AI designs** or a saved template.

  <Step title="Create">
    Review the batch and start it. GetQR creates the codes in the background while you watch the progress.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download">
    Download the ZIP of JPEG images. The codes also appear on **My QR Codes**.

## Limits

| Codes per batch | Up to 100 non-empty rows |
| Name length | Up to 40 characters (longer names are cut) |
| File type | `.csv` with the header `name,url` |
| Batches at a time | One per workspace |
| ZIP contents | JPEG, 1024 × 1024 px, one per code |
| Password and schedule | Not available in bulk create. Set them per code afterwards. |

  Each bulk code is a regular dynamic Website QR code. You can edit its link, design and access rules later from **My QR Codes**, and download it in other formats and sizes.

## Use cases

* **Events.** One code per session, booth or speaker.
* **Restaurants and retail.** A code per table, store or product page.
* **Asset tagging.** Label equipment or inventory with codes that link to each item's page.
* **Print runs.** Generate a batch of codes for flyers or packaging in one step.

## Common issues

    Split your list into several CSV files of up to 100 rows each, and run one batch after another.

  <Accordion title="Create Bulk opens a progress screen instead of the upload step">
    A batch is already running in your workspace, possibly started by another member. Only one batch can run at a time. Wait for it to finish, or stop it.
